Head of Commercial Strategy Planning  
Major Responsibilities
  • Lead planning processes, provide reasoned advice on modelling, planning and forecasting based on the organization strategic direction
  • Forecast macroeconomic indicators and predict future market movements and finalize key assumptions for the business plan as per industry trend, management expectation and in line with HQ guideline
  • Develop and incorporate strategy in the business plan to achieve the major KPIs; Challenge OPEX and CAPEX assumptions collected from all commercial teams, seek synergies upon consolidation and incorporate them in the budget upon management consent
  • Interpret management decisions and make effective target setting using benchmarking, trends, and other planning and forecasting methods
  • Supervise and plan activities for the budget preparation to set unit wise target for revenue and other key KPIs; supervise preparation of budget document, present to Management for review, finalize the budget and submit upon management consent
  • Provide direction and review cost-benefit analysis of business initiatives from various marketing, sales teams and other departments and align and validate with commercial strategy
  • Monitor preparation of and review all the regular reports for HQ and Top Management; design reporting and monitoring regimes to track performance against corporate objectives and review outputs of financial analyses to develop views and guide management
  • Manage IT demand management process from Commercial, evaluate all commercial requirements for IT and prioritize as per business impact
Required Academic Qualifications
  • Bachelor in Business Administration, Economics or Engineering from any UGC approved university
  • MBA will be an advantage
Required Experience
  • 7-8 years of total experience including 3 years of relevant experience
Required Knowledge & Skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge on Telecom Markets (both local & Global) and understanding on Macroeconomic indicators and their impact on business
  • Strategic thinking & business acumen
  • Well conversant in communicating with higher authority
  • Proficient in financial modelling, forecasting and planning techniques
  • Expertise in cost-benefit analysis and preparation of business cases
  • Advance knowledge of reporting and analysis
  • Commercial
